Overview
The ISDA Summer Global Debate Camp brings together middle and high school students from across the globe for five days of world-class instruction, skill development, and cultural exchange. We offer four specialized tracks — welcoming both new students and experienced competitors preparing for international circuits. Each program combines live workshops, interactive drills, guest lectures from debate experts from top US Universities including Dr. Malsin (Emory) and Dr. Roman (Harvard), and a culminating Global Showcase judged by top educators and coaches.

Introduction to Competitive Speech & Debate
For: Students new to speech and debate or those seeking to strengthen their foundations. Focus: Core principles of public speaking, argumentation, and global formats.
Events Covered: Public Speaking (Impromptu, Original Oratory, Extemp), World Schools Debate, Public Forum Debate.
Highlights: Core skill-building workshops, interactive global classroom, public speaking and debate showcase. Outcome: ISDA Certificate of Completion + invitation to spring online tournaments.

Overview
Join us for the ISDA Global Public Forum Intensive, a virtual debate camp tailored for international students competing in Public Forum Debate. The ISDA brings together top debate minds from the US including college professors, college debate directors, and expert PF coaches and strategists. Public Forum is the most popular format in the US and the largest event at the TOC making skill development in this format highly valuable.
This workshop will include both core and advanced lessons and will feature renowned guest lecturers from powerhouse debate institutions like Harvard University and Emory University.

Global PF Intensive
The ISDA Global Public Forum Intensive sets itself apart from other camps because of its emphasis on developing research skills & judge adaptation strategies.
Research Skills: For students to be able to create the best cases during the season, students must be able to access databases, master search terms, and understand source material.
Judge Adaptation: Winning debates requires connecting with judges. ISDA focuses significant time on teaching the best strategies for judge adaptation across tournament circuits.

Showcase: Mini Public Forum tournament with written ballots and feedback.
World Schools Debate Intensive
For: Students interested in global motions, teamwork, and persuasive advocacy.
Focus: Prepared and impromptu motions, speaker roles, and argument development.
Curriculum Includes: Case writing, rebuttal, and reply speeches.
Showcase: Live World Schools debate rounds judged by experienced coaches.
Speech Intensive
For: Students focused on competitive speech events and performance.
Focus: Content creation, storytelling, and effective delivery.
Events Covered: Original Oratory, Impromptu, and Extemporaneous Speaking.
Curriculum Includes: Writing, structure, delivery techniques, tone, and physical presence. Showcase: Virtual Speech Festival with written commentary and awards.
